"But if you're too afraid to dream, or of what others might think, your rocket ship will never fly and your boat will surely sink..."

                          -Giddy-Up Fairytale Cowgirl, Kat Ford

Graduating with a degree in Clothing, Textile, and Fashion Merchandising from New Mexico State University, Kat spent the next ten years working in luxury retail in both Las Vegas, NV and Los Angeles, CA for international fashion and lifestyle company Chrome Hearts and as a freelance content creator. After six years as an independent contractor, Kat spent two years working for The Bascom: A Center For The Visual Arts in Highlands, NC, lending her retail and marketing skills before again re-entering the world of creative freelance. Her experience includes retail management, sales, buying, visual merchandising, clienteling, special events, marketing, creative content creation, writing, public speaking, and work in editorial and advertising photo shoots.

As an artist and writer, Kat strives to share her narrative that we all have a purpose and should dare to make our dreams come true.  She accomplishes this through her novels, line of children’s and coloring books, folk art, collaborative work in costume and set design, and most recently as managing editor of Plateau Magazine. Acquiring a patent in 2015 for a device stimulating child development, Kat places a great deal of importance on using art in building cognitive function.

A creative and business-savvy retail professional with over 17 years of experience across diverse industry segments, Kat has a proven ability to combine vision, creativity, skills and sales expertise to create and implement well-developed branded content, production design, visual experiences and campaigns.

Whether you are a manufacturer seeking to license one of her unique books and designs or a company looking for creative content creation, Kat enjoys working with clients in order to achieve the best possible creative outcome.
