"But if you're too afraid to dream or of what others might think, your rocket ship will never fly, and your boat will surely sink..."

Kat Ford

Kat Ford is a multidisciplinary creative whose work sits at the intersection of brand, place, culture, and purpose. Her career spans luxury fashion and retail, publishing, nonprofit leadership, arts and cultural programming, community development, and edutainment—giving her a rare ability to see connections across industries, translate complex ideas into compelling narratives, and turn vision into meaningful opportunities.

Kat specializes in strategic partnerships, brand development, communications, and creative strategy, helping organizations identify their unique position, cultivate the right relationships, and bring ambitious ideas to life. Her work often bridges sectors and stakeholders—from businesses and nonprofits to community organizations, developers, creatives, and philanthropic partners—where success depends as much on understanding people and possibility as it does on execution.

Her perspective is shaped by a lifelong interest in the relationship between people and place. Through her work with communities, initiatives, cultural organizations, and mission-driven businesses, she has developed a particular expertise in telling the stories that give places and projects meaning—and connecting those stories to the people capable of advancing them.

She is also a children’s book illustrator, writer, and costume and prop designer, with creative work featured in music videos and editorial campaigns. Her educational art materials have received nearly 50,000 downloads on Teachers Pay Teachers. As co-founder of American Posterity and holder of U.S. Patent 8845383B2, she is the creative force behind Zini & Friends, an edutainment franchise rooted in developmental psychology and multiple intelligences theory.

Kat’s writing explores environmental conservation, cultural identity, history, and compassionate capitalism through nonprofit profiles and place-based cultural journalism. Through Parlance Creative, she brings these disciplines together to help organizations clarify their story, strengthen their position, build meaningful partnerships, and create lasting impact.

At the heart of her work is a simple belief: the right story is the key to opening doors, but the right connections change what happens on the other side.
